Linking
-------

Note - In this section example links contain a space at the start to stop them actually working as links. When you create your own links do not add the initial space (as seen in the other links in this document).

To link to a new document use [ and ] like this -

[ link1]

When you press A or the stick button with the cursor over that link, it will save the current document (if changes have been made) and try to open another called link1.txt. If link1.txt doesn't exist then you will get a new blank document (called link1.txt). The text within the link is used to create the filename (up to 8 chars), and it will stop at a space.

Eg. [ item1 - this is the first item] will create a link to a file called item1.txt and [ a_long_link] will link to a file called a_long_l.txt. To use an extension other than .txt simply add the extension at the end of the link ([ anotherdocument.cfg] will link to anotherd.cfg instead of anotherd.txt). Documents will be created in the current folder.
